Route 66 - Totem Pole Trading Post
Boofle visited the Totem Pole Trading Post on Route 66 in Rola, Missouri. Opened in 1933, it is the oldest in Missouri.

Route 66 - Monroe's 66 Diner
In Pacific, Missouri, Monroe's 66 Diner opened in the early 1940's and served Route 66 travelers for 60 years until it closed in 2005. |
It re-opened in May, 2012 as the Down South Cafe under new ownership. |
It now serves American, Cajun, and Creole food. In season, it even serves alligator! |

Route 66 - Odell, Illinois
Boofle is on Route 66 in Odell, Illinois at the restored Standard Sinclair gas station. Open for business from 1932 to 1975, the station has now been restored and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Route 66 - Joliet Prison
While on a Route 66 Road Trip, Boofle stopped by to see Statesville Correctional Facility, more commonly known as Joliet Prison. This is the prison featured in the movie The Blues Brothers as the prison from which Jake Blues is released at the beginning of the movie.
