Route 66 - Bonnie & Clyde House

On April 1, 1933, Bonnie and Clyde Barrow, Buck and Blanche Barrow, along with William Jones rented this garage apartment at 3347 1/2 Oak Ridge Dr. in Joplin, Missouri. Less than 2 weeks later, Clyde noticed 2 police cars which pulled up in front of the house. A shootout ensued. Eventually, the gang was able to make it to their car in the garage and made their escape.

Boofle visited the Totem Pole Trading Post on Route 66 in Rola, Missouri. Opened in 1933, it is the oldest in Missouri.

Route 66 - Frozen Custard & a Visitor Center

Traveling Route 66 in St. Louis, Boofle stopped at 
6726 Chippewa St. for a concrete milkshake at Ted Drewes 
Frozen Custard.  Locals and Route 66 travelers have 
been purchasing frozen treats at this site since 1941


After leaving St. Louis, Boofle stopped in Eureka to tour the
Route 66 State Park Visitor Center

Route 66 memorabilia

Route 66 - St. Louis Gateway Arch

Missouri Welcome Center

On the way to Chicago to begin the Route 66 road trip, Boofle stopped to rest at the Missouri Welcome Center.
